I am an newbie in domain business. I just bought a domain name (b25.com) with godady for one year and will extend it. But I want to have some comments about the name.

Can I sell it?

Does it worth anything?

An excellent domain name for a three character .com. As soon as I saw the title I thought - B-25 Mitchell bomber. Look for an end user and you should do okay.

Yes, there is certainly a market for B25.com -- it's a solidly brandable CCC.com with a base/wholesale price around $100 (that number is growing, and you could get $150 or so from a reseller, a lot more to an end user)

It could be a solid investment to hold on to, or to develop (shorter domains are better for SEO, in many cases.)

I was actually looking to buy b25.biz, but I saw the backorder available for litte bit more than what I was looking to pay. So what is backorder means?

Also does backorder makes any difference, when I want to sell this domain?

I'm not sure you actually purchased this domain. After reviewing the whois and your posts, I'm wondering if you actually purchased the back-order for this domain (and thus not the domain itself). By owning the backorder, if the domain is not renewed (dropped), then Godaddy will try to immediately register it as soon as possible on your behalf in the next year.

The whois seems to verify that the domain has been registered since 1999:

If you only own the backorder on this domain, your backorder is essentially without value unless Godaddy were to successfully register this domain for you "IF" it drops (a big if, as it has been continuously renewed since 1999).

Maybe I'm missing something here, but I'm afraid you may not really own the domain you think you do, and the odds are stacked against you to ever own this domain without buying it from the current owner.
