Automatic Download After Recieving Payment

Hey,

I have been asked to develop a website that will have some software the author has created and he wants so that once a user has paid it will give them access to download the file.

Is there any free scripts that does this or even paid? simpilar the better

There are scripts available for that purpose and it's not hard to make one.
Are you talking about Paypal payments or credit cards ? For credit cards the specifics depends on the gateway that will be used for clearing the transactions.

I guess paypal as that allows payment to be made via credit cards, do you know of any simple scripts? or even like a module for a cms that would be great
