So... how do you set up automatic content on a website?

Arey you using any CMS like wordpress or just html ?
If you are using wordpress then a lot of scripts are available there and if you are using HTML then google for any script which pulls data from RSS.

You might try looking at RSS feeds too - they can be pretty simple to integrate and can offer additional content for users of your site.

I'm using a CMS that I created myself. I guess I should be looking more into programming than website development.

if you developed your own CMS, then i am sure you can develop your own script that pulls contents from a RSS feed. or there are many scripts available on the net too

Right, which is why I said I maybe should be looking more into the programming board than the web development board. I haven't learned a ton about RSS feeds. Pretty much all I've learned is how to create them, not really how to manipulate them from other sites.

If it's written in PHP you might want to take a look at the MagpieRSS-parser

I am not against it but here is the equation

Automatic = Automatic content = Content
Content = website = monetization = MONEY
Therefore it is Automatic MONEY which I have never heard of.

All you get is a ban from search engines So please do it after some serious thought.

Still as this thread is about that topic so I think you should try wordpress with wp-o-matic or similar plugin.

At this point, it's for more of a project to learn how to do things than an attempt to make a ton of money. Since I've started building websites, I've spent more money than I've ever gained with them. :P
I wanted to put automatic content (as a very small part) into a mini-site that I'm creating so it didn't look so plain all the time. It's not meant to be the main part of the site, just a way to add a little bit of something.

Anyway, I appreciate the information on the plug-ins, but I'm going to try to learn to actually create it.
