Last night I ignored the urge to register SpaceShipThree.com , and today the .com .net .org and .whatnot is all taken.

Today I decided to redeem myself and find another good dn investment. After a bit of investigation I discovered the huge potential of Augmented Reality: Google Trends: augmented reality . The estimated AR market size in 2014 is $732,000,000 , especially in AR marketing.

I think adverts and billboards shown as augmented reality on mobiles will become simply huge, and so I decided to get a piece of the pie, all new .com registrations:

Where were you when Microsoft announced hololens? Some went as far as saying VR was rubbish, some said VR was clumsy and awkward to pronounce and the whole world was going to be holo in a few months, some said forget AR, VR and in fact any other R. Go Daddy codes had never been so abused. You almostt had to book in advance to get in the holo thread. What happened? Well holo went hollow, the thread went way quiet, VR is on the rise and the VR thread is now the most lively thread for months. Rightly so. For now.

It's similar, or the same, with every new tech, and therefore, various threads that follow. No different for cloud years ago, marijuana, drone, holo, and the list goes on.

AR is in fact, currently relevant, but VR is getting most of the attention from big business, and media. Likely because, believe it or not, the two technologies are quite different, and will offer different values, but VR is the [seemingly] easier of the two technologies, and with slightly more practical uses, at least for the interim.

Most of the best AR names have quietly been snatched up over the past year, but few like to profile them. GD expired auctions is a great place to get quality names with some age, and at a great price.

Give it 6-12 months and this thread and sales would start moving forward,

There will be a market for VR, Holo & AR imho.

VR is almost upon us, that is why there is such a buzz about it at the moment.

HoloLens is not in a position to be released to the public as of yet & I think Microsoft is doing the correct thing in not releasing it too early.

VR is where the technology will start off, but holograms / augmented reality is where we are heading :D
