I kind of like PC.club and C.club, but no bids from me...
I would register PC.club if its available for $100...not more than that

A bit off topic , but registries should have fixed pricing for ALL domains.

Their purpose is to serve the public , right ?

Just imagine what would happen if suddenly Verisign decided to charge $100 or $1000 per year for domains they deem to be "premium" ... Total chaos , I guess.

Those reserve prices are way to high imho.

I like .Club and own close to 100 .Club names. .Club generally runs things pretty good for a new registry.

But this is one serious flaw I see with investing in .Club. Premium names and auctioning of premium and dropped names will NOT help this registry long-term. In fact, I believe it will not help the ngtld industry in general, which in the end will come back to bite .Club. All the premium pricing, auctions, and premium names hurts the ngtld industry. If they wanted to be taken seriously then they would follow .com and make all names regularly priced and cut out the auctions. Especially for a successful ngtld like .Club they get revenue from normal registrations to sustain business. I think the premium name and premium name auctions will let there not be an aftermarket for good .Club names and hurt the credibility of the registry long-term compared with Verisign. Which in turn is probably gonna hurt business and growth for them.

Got to cut in here. Sort of want you to see it from my side. .COM is owned by ICANN who contract it out to Versign which with that one contract has gained them billions in value. .CLUB is a great name. Owned, in my opinion, by the all internet users or citizens of the planet. So why did ICANN stick every gTLD, including .CLUB into a hunger games arena forcing a fight to death. We raised 11 million for the auction and launch of the name. I would have preferred a process based on capability vs. money. Under that model we could have operated like .COM. That being said the table they set.

I have made my money on prior ventures like Tucows, Hostopia, and Internet Direct. Of course I intend to eventually make a profit at .CLUB but for now I believe in a greater purpose. I believe that .CLUB can be a global brand. Something different than .COM or .ORG. It changes the meaning of the URL. I have seen how a .CLUB name changes peoples perspective on how they build the site.....including many celebrities.

We recently made the decision to leave all expiring names on SnapNames. Names like Puppets.club, Merlin.club, Quartz.club are all names expiring in the next few days. Some will go for $69 or few bids higher. We could have easily moved the names to our premium and 10x but I firmly believe that domain investors are the glue that connects the rest of the world to our domain extension. We left a lot on the table for others to make money here. One thing I can say is that we invest every penny of premium name revenue goes back into marketing to support the brand. .CLUB will be a global brand rivaling .ORG, which, again in my opinion, is the only real global brand that has differentiated from .COM.

Hope you can see it from my point of view.

Actually no its not, they are not a public service, they are for profit companies, just like Verisign is a for profit company. I agree there should be universal pricing or no premium renewal pricing, ICANN could have mandated that when they started but they wanted their piece of the pie too.

Thanks for replying. There's something really cool about getting a reply direct from the source. You're definitely the man when it comes to .Club. I love .Club and I agree 100% wholeheartedly with this statement: "I believe that .CLUB can be a global brand. Something different than .COM or .ORG. It changes the meaning of the URL. I have seen how a .CLUB name changes peoples perspective on how they build the site.....including many celebrities."

That is EXACTLY what .Club does.

I am also glad that you reinvest earnings back to marketing. It is good marketing. I have no doubt.

My only point of criticism is again regarding putting expired domains to auction. I feel like it is a question of volume. I am not sure if a starting price of $69 is right. I still feel like it would be better if expired names became available at normal price. Because at normal price you would have a higher volume of sales. More sales of names would make up for the lower price point. I think the main thing is it would help to show that .Club names are just as "liquid" as .Com by making the expired names available at the normal .Club price point. Anyways, it's just my 2c. I will continue to develop some of my .Club names and hold others as an investment. Though I don't think I'll be taking part in auctions starting at $69 and going up.

Thank you.

Unlike other registries, Verisign has a different contract with ICANN and cannot change the prices or other things. And yet, they make money.

Anyone knows the final price for YM.club?

Konstantinos,

EachNic has preferred not reveal individual prices. However, .CLUB will release final results and average.

Interesting to see Michael's article on TheDomains.com revealing that he beat the Chinese investors for PC.club at $9750

Colin can you release the sold names prices some of them even not getting $500 bid and you said reserve was $5k that mean none of them going to get sold or what?

Compare to that bid many 6N.com going at crazy prices , do we missing on something on this new tlds marketing text or still need to wait 10 more year to get the price what they looking for, i was expecting at 5k all of this name will going to get sold out easily.
