Back in the early days so many type domains were made that they were common, so much so that most people who see one now makes them think "cheap and scammy"

And google now does a handy spellchecker to further screw you over

Typo = big no no.

Low $xx, the .net ruins the little bit of value it had as a typo (where it might have gotten some type in traffic and click revenue).

Even Yahoo have stopped serving quality ads on typos and I doubt the .com would get many type ins let alone the .net
Having said that, some bright spark just paid $1700 for facebgook on Sedo. So maybe that is your sales platform ?
