I have just reged this, am looking at creating an ASP help forum based site.

would like to hear ideas on value,

Its an interesting domain for an asp help site. Very unique and original idea. As far as value I would say $x because although the concept is unique the domain is not rare- its a new concept.

IMO it looks odd. Even though 'ASP' is a distinct keyword the name would be much better without hyphen. Not to mention that it's really too similar to a well-known brand (TM issues I don't know). All in one it's not a very good, brandable ASP domain.

i think bayer might be trademarked but i doubt aspirin is, i thinks its a generic word that can't be trademarked

even if it was, a computer forum about programming would probably not infringe on their mark, there is very little confusion between aspirin and programming .... aren't all the programmers drinking mountain dew, not taking aspirin ?

There's still very unclear boundaries about the trademarking of Aspirin. Read this page, especially further down the page there is an area devoted to this. I doubt you'd have any problem whatever, even without considering that you'll have a completely different use of the name.

You are treading on thin ground here and, believe me, I talk from experience. Bayer will furiously protect their trademarks will the might of their behemoth lawyers.

Whatever the case IMO this is a fairly weak name as it has little typo value as the likelihood of such typo is pretty slim.

Value = reg fee at worst or low xx.

generic trademarks ?

Well i have no experience of wether asp-irin will be regarded as trademark infringment or not, i still like the idea, wikipedia mentions aspirin specifically as been a generic term, at least in the US, and so i guess can not be challenged as a trademark infringement.
