I just talked with the vice president of .asia,
he told me that all single applications will not be allocated till March 18,
and the auctions for multiple applications will also start from this day.
He revealed that buy.asia has about 400 applications but he didn't mention if sex.asia were the most wanted .asia in the landrush, I will ask him later.

Update: he told me that sex.asia had more than 10 applications in the sunrise period, so there is no chance for anyone of us to get it in the landrush auction,
and he also said that buy.asia is the most wanted one in the land rush period.

Interesting. Please see what other info you can get! Also do you know how the auctions will happen? Eg will they commence in alphabetical order 100 domains a day? Will bids be proxy bids? Are there any special rulkes?

It is not US time, it is UTC or GMT time. Only a few hours difference with asia.
