Site to check dotAsia applications

Hi All

I made a small script to check my .asia applications (to see if I'm the only applicant, if there are multiple applications or if the domain already got registered during the sunrise period), thought I would share it with you:

http://www.rar.info/cgi-bin/asia-online.pl

Especially useful when you have to check hundreds of domains (don't check more than 500 in one go).

Rony

Shameless advertising. Would normally say thanks but the redirects and popups are simply ridiculous.

Hey the two of you. I would say check your pc for adware or what ever. Have a look at the source code, there is absolutely nothing that generates a pop-up.

It's just a little script that I thought may be helpful for others as well.

I tried the site with firefox and ie and didn't got any pop-up.

I was referring to the redirect to a trafficz landing page within which there are popups. It is certainly nothing to do with my system.

Yes, the domain is parked at trafficz, but when you go to http://www.rar.info/cgi-bin/asia-online.pl you get the script, nobody forces you to go to the domain itself. As long as you only go to the posted url and enter valid domain names everything works fine (if you try to cheat the script with some crap input then it will fail and the error 500 page is the parking page again).

I just tried 5 different names. It worked for the first 4, however, on trying "geasad.asia" I was redirected. It is a nice script, however, I would recommend changing what you have for the 500 error.

Thanks for the detailed report.

I found the error in the script and fixed it. Also changed the error page as suggested.

For some stuff perl is just way faster than php. I only did a perl version of that script.
