Anyone know of any good blogs or articles on .asia? I'm interested in booking a few but would still like to read more on them and see what experts have to say and which names will be the best investments etc...

I believe they are the main registry appointed by ICANN to handle all the .Asia domains and the auctions and everything.

Hi Art,

The 6 euro for a .asia is a promotion price. After the end of Landrush we might have new actions, but I can't promise we keep offering .asia's for this low price for an indefinite period.

.Asia's that we can't register for you will be refunded to your account and from there you can request a refund to your credit card/ bank account.

-> For now our .asia promotion price (that ended today) is extended for another 10 days with Voucher Code '6ASIA28'

Good luck!

Sander
For those who are buying .Asia using the discount code, the total is 12Euros for two years, which is about $18 US dollars per domain!

I guess if after the landrush and the price comes back to the regular price and if there is nobody else offers it at a lower price than Eurodns, I would buy it from Eurodns, otherwise I might want Card Credit and transfer ship.

i thought .Asia registry thmeselves are the main Registry handling .asia? and from my understanding, pool.com is handling the auctions on behalf of .Asia registry, i dont see how EUROdns come into picture othen than its another acccredited registrar for .asia

I do not think that .asia registry will appoint any registrar as their main registrar for .asia for fear that it will offend other hundred plus registrars around the world.

Can anyone do a price comparsion...but shall include the CED charges, so that we are clearly sure which registrar has the best offer!

According to the "other" forum, you only get account credit. Hopefully we can just refund to card since I pre regged 20.

I pointed this out on the other Eurodns thread, but I will post it here, in case any of you missed it. Eurodns charges a 10EUR ($15 USD) fee to withdraw money you have in credit with them. This means that if you purchase one name and do not get it, that it will cost you more to request the refund back to your card than your name even cost. This 10 Euro fee is either 10 Euro or 5%, whichever is higher. The fee is clearly stated in their policies, but you would have no waying of knowing about the fee without looking it up first. I should point out one final thing. If the Eurodns system tells you a regular (not .asia) name is available and it isn't, you will still only get a refund to your credit account and it will still cost 10 Euro to withdraw that money back to your car, even if it was their error, not yours.

This is something to keep in mind when reserving names here.

There is a member here who goes by the name Eurodns_NL, it seems he is an EuroDns rep. He said that the credit can be refunded via credit card or bank account.

Yes it certainly can be refunded. I was just pointing out what he failed to mention, which is that their is a 10 Euro fee (or 5%) to withdraw money from your credit account.

As I mentioned, this is clearly stated in their policies, but I can only find the page when I login and go to the credit account tab on the my account section. I think that EuroDns_NL should have mentioned this fee when telling people they could simply request a refund if they did not get their names, but since he did not, I thought I would mention it to those who, like me until I got a credit, did not know about the fee.

Check the last paragraph of the following page:

I guess you'd better address this question right to Eurodns.com billing staff.

If someone has got any reply from EuroDNS on this matter, kindly share and update. I would like to know whether this is true.

If you have a large list of .asia's you want to register, you can send the list to [email protected]. You only have to pay afterwards for the domains that have been registered to your name (indicate that you want to use that option).
>> In this scenario you don't have to worry about refunds etc

The other scenario is that you purchase .asia's via our v2.eurodns.com and pay them up front. For the .asia's you can't register we will fully refund you in your EuroDNS account. You can request our Finance department to refund the credits in your account to your bank account or credit card. Indeed (see our T&C) EuroDNS will charge a small fee in that case.

If you don't wish to pay the fee and have a substantial amount of names to register use the first scenario and mail your names to our Markus.

For any other related questions you can reach me as well at [email protected]

So then, would you accept Paypal for 20 + domains ?

Hello Sander of EuroDNS.

I am writing here regarding my current .asia domain purchase at Eurodns.
The domain in question is bid.asia which I purchased by my debit card.
The purchase went through and I saw it with my pending purchased domains list on my Eurodns account. After 5 days it just disappeared from my pending domains list on my account at Eurodns.

I made the payment for bid.asia on 2-26-08 and Paypal put a temporary hold on the funds as they stated that EuroDNS have 4 days to accept the funds.
They told me that EuroDNS did not took action and Paypal have to Expire the transaction on 3-5-08.

I also purchased beijing.asia and aside from my other purchases on 2-27-08, everyone have been submitted to the register except that one beijing.asia which still shows a status of "ready for submission" up to now (that purchase was made on 2-27-08). Your support emailed me back stating that the purchase of beijing.asia is restricted??? Then why is it available when I made the purchase and even now if I go to your website, it still shows that anyone can purchase it???

Also, I purchased 33 (LLL.asia) 3 letter .asia domains and all states its "ready for submission"??? Except, the one word generics that I've purchased which all have been submitted to the registry.

Sander, could you please check on this to make sure that your staff at Eurodns accept my purchase within the allotted time so as a repeat of the bid.asia occurrence would not repeat itself.
Please do this for me and Eurodns.

Art M.

Please pm me.

I also have a similar case. I bought some geo domain names that turned out to be 'restricted'.
Why will the system allow it to be entered in the order?
And then credits your account back with the amount. However, if you request a refund to your credit card, you are penalized with a minimum of 10 euros charge...
Something is wrong here.. Can we complain to the FTC?

They did that to me and I don't see no credit to my Eurodns account or to my debit card!
