Hello everyone,

I want to know that what If I buy .ASIA Domain in the Trademark period time which is starting from 9th October 2007 and than try to sell it later. Can we buy a good generic keyword as Trademark and later try to sell it. Is it possible/allowed to do so?

I read but didn't understand and that's why I asked here. Just want to know that once the Trademark registration opens, can we register let's say emirates.asia as Trademark and later try to sell it ? Can normal person register it as Trademark and later is it allowed to sell it ?

I don't undertand whether you're saying you have a trademark on a generic word already or not- if you did why would you want to sell your own trademark? (I am unsure whether resale of .asia will be allowed but imagine it will be.)

Or is it that you're planning to fraudulently create a trademark on a generic name like some tried on .eu? (In which case the trademark should have been registered by 2006-12-06 and even if it was- the registry might take your domain back off of you as happened with some .eu)

Or do you not have a trademark and want to fraudulently claim that you do in order to buy a generic during the sunrise period? (In this case, you're out of luck since trademarks will be confirmed by the registry from what I understand).
