Hello,

Can someone please review and give their opinion on:
artsandliteracy.org

(I found this the other day and bought it for a hand registry fee.)

Metrics:
6 year old domain
previously owned - has no spam
Has (5) PR 4s linking to it. - all do follow
Has (24) PR 3s linking to it. - all do follow

Open Site Explorer Metrics:
Domain Authority 16, Page Authority 30, Linking Root Domains 7, Total Links 45.
http://www.opensiteexplorer.org/links.html?site=www.artsandliteracy.org

Majestic Seo Metrics:
Citation Flow 28, Trust Flow 18
https://www.majesticseo.com/reports/site-explorer/summary/www.artsandliteracy.org?oq=artsandliteracy.org&IndexDataSource=F

Most likely on the next G toolbar update it will be at least a PR3 or possibly a PR4, based on the above metrics.

Thank you

The value of this domain for selling is $0

The value for parking is also $0. Why?

It only has 50 baclinks from 10 different domains.
Although it has a .gov backlink (nyc.gov) and you could use an education keyword (wich is valuable) this domain has been parked before. This means that the owner before you dropped it, for sure because do not worth the renewal fee.

Try to park it at Voodoo or Domainsponsor with a keyword related to NY and education. If you have some good clicks, then you can fix a price.

Hi Primerlloc,

First of all thanks for your reply.

Question, where do you see the value where you say its says $0 for the domain? And the value for the parking?

Note: I doubled check the history of the domain on archive.org and there is no spam of any kind. I also notice (the previous owner) redirected the domain to his new site (for whatever reason), and didn't renew this time around, so i picked it up.

Also if the domain has some good PR links pointing to it, (should be a pr3 or pr4 in the next toolbar update). Why then it would not be of value?

Perhaps I am on the wrong thread, but I am thinking this domain will sell based (if only) on the PR??
PR3 and PR4 domains have value. If anything to juice up other domains, use it for a private blog network or even monetize by selling textlink ads, etc.

Side Note: Legitimate PR3s regularly sell for 30 dollars and up (depending on several factors), and PR4s for even more.

Thanks again, I am learning and looking for any help I can get.

Great forum! Appreciate the help here. :)

Hi Primerlloc,

Yes i seen that screenshot before (on the waybackmachine). But what do you see that I don't see? Is there something wrong with picking up this domain?

Is it because its changed hands a few times? If so, there is no spam on the recreated site, again its just a parked page, from what I studied that is ok.

Let me know your thoughts.

Appreciate the help.

It is not an aged domain, as you said. It has PR0, and it was parked before.
Sorry, but I cannot give you more consistent reasons.

It is an aged domain = 2008 - verified

Yes your right it is a PR0 (currently). It temporarily loses it page rank because it was taken out of circulation, however once it's reactivated it usually regains its ranking, I have tried this with other domains and in my own prior tests 2 out 5 domains came back with ranking.

I am hoping for a PR4 or PR3 based on the fact it has a lot of PR 3s and (5) PR 4s linking to it and a high Citation Flow of 28 from Majestic SEO (anything over 20 is really good) . We will see, it was worth a $9 hand reg fee for this experiment.

Thank you for all your help. :)

When domainers give a domain's age, they mean how long it has been continuously registered.

A whois search for your domain shows:

Created On:29-Mar-2013 19:43:51 UTC

So that is now a 4-day-old domain.

Hey Randomo,

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I now understand what Primerlloc (and you) are saying. That makes perfect sense as a domainer point of view, just like you said.

Ok, so how about the PRs that this domain is receiving. Any thoughts on the value?

Thanks and looking forward to your answer.
