Need a suggestion on Art.wtf

I got some offers in the range of mid $XXX...

I am aware that .wtf is not a desirable extension but I think it suits better with Art.

What are your thoughts?

Take the offer and run. Your renewal fee are very high. Just imagine to renew this domain a few times, it will be a costly experience. Use the money to buy something better in the upcoming releases.

yeah but that's .io (a desirable extension) and your question is about .wtf which has very little interest from anybody.

That .io is a desirable extension is mildly debatable, imo. For a specific niche, I think .wtf helps define the content one is likely to find on the site. It certainly limits the developer, but only if they want to develop outside of the suggestive niche. Art.wtf, would make sense for a brash art critic, someone who did not mince words, or perhaps for a site that displayed 'what were they thinking' pieces of art. Or maybe a personal site for a shock artist. Personally, a mid $XXX sounds fairly reasonable this early in the extensions life, maybe edge up into the high $xxx.

The one thing I like about art web sites is that they integrate well with allposters.com. They convert well, and pay a high commission on sales.

I think it will be best to accept the mid $xxx offer.
If you have not stated that you have received mid $xxx offer for this domain,
I would have appraised it as mid-high $xx end user.
The new extension.wtf is unknown to many and unpopular.
There is no chance that this domain can be sold for $x,xxx.
The keyword "art" with .wtf doesn't make any sense to me.

The extension .io is popular and familiar to many developers and companies and thus some .io domains reach mid $x,xxx to low $xx,xxx.
For this reason Art .io was sold for $6k.
A website developer or company can develop Art.io in many good ways.
Also .io ccTLD rank very well in searching results.

You can know for sure the domain was sold based on whois change and the addition of $x,xxx to the seller overall sales, this kind of data is only available after a few days(In case the Sold by auction is not good confirmation for you).

Same for .info, Art .info domain is worth $xx,xxx since the gTLD is known and popular and the .info=information makes sense with the Art.

You have to ask yourself why you reg this name. If it was to make a few hundred real quick then sell.

I would rather target young heavy metal, taggers, tatted up, partyers, juvenile humor, flipping the bird type of people with art.wtf than art.oi

Honestly, I think the extension makes no sense and is of little value here.. .io is at least popular and recognized in comparison..

Normally I would always counter at least once, but the above answers might effect that. Do you know anything about the buyer?
