ouch.. that must be painful.. so much money lost. $1 million for some worthless domains.

This will probably not even be the biggest drop that we will see in the next few months. Much more to follow. Be prepared.

Correct, Due to lack of more investors and investment all over the world especially in China. many so called 5L CHIPS will drop very soon. if anyone has notice 5L Chips are already dropping everyday but we will see a huge impact between november and december.

That's a very wise decision. IMO, Investing in any domain is a child play. Number of letters doesn't matter if you have a good domain in hand.

i only have 1 .CC domain which is BrandStore .CC . i don't like any other extension rather than .com. I have lot of domains in many other tlds like .net .org .biz etc. Which i will drop too but not all.

If anyone has made such an awfull investment that they are going to drop 70000 names, they probably deserve to make such a big loss. If you spend that much money and dont diversify your investment your asking for trouble. This is just natural selection. However if this individual invested 10 million at the start and these 70000 names were part of a large scale diversification and he has made 2 million proffit elsewhere then they could just be very ballsy pros. As there are not enough details its all theoretical speculation.

you'd have to know all the money he's ever lost and made in domaining, to be able to say if dropping 70k domains is an actual loss for him.

I think anyone investing in domains, even .com should plan on more than one year.

If this is a very wealthy investor, this is not so much money. I have seen wealthy people donate this much to charity.

Domain investing can be a gamble. Domain investing is still in infant stage. Especially with extensions other than .com.

If this investor does not renew the domains, its because of bad planning. Not because investing in domains is bad.
