I would say Malignant.mobi is worth $ 25- $ 50.
I can't give a value to Heated.mobi

You got these at reg fee this week. They are worth reg fee. There is a reason why they were available.

+1. I've been reading a lot of the forum tonight and I think .mobi is useless. I thought so before anyway but I gave it a chance. RIP .mobi.

I'm a .mobi investor, but even so, you won't find anyone willing to pay any amount of money for those two right now. And that's speaking from experience...the reseller market here on the forums is pretty nonexistent. I've had little luck selling better names than these.

Cool. I was reading more about the future new gTLDs and .mobi just seems like a fad too as many of the possible gTLDs would be.

This made me chuckle tho. Was looking at forum options and found this:

"Hide "Heated" Threads allows you to opt out of viewing threads that are marked as being "heated" or volatile."

:)

I don't agree about them being a fad, but I do agree that they're definitely not a good reseller option at this time.

I wouldn't say mobi is completely dead.
There's a mobi at auction at Sedo now:
- bred.mobi current bid: 850 $US

Agreed. If they were available they are worth zero. You can apply this rule to 99.9% of all future available domains you may stumble across going forward. IMO.

What about this one?

SaveTheWhales.mobi

No doubt, a rare gem like this is worth at least 100 x labrocca's above quoted value.D-:

There used to be a lot of heated discussions in the mobi section a few years back. :D Maybe they will start again which could be a sign that mobi isn't dead yet.

I like Heated[.]mobi and I think it has potential in the future. The reason you found this one free is not because it's not good IMO, but because lots of domainers have to reduce their portfolios. THe financial crises and the drop of of ppc could be the reason. The CEO of dotMobi mentioned in a webinar recently that some major things are going to happen by the end of this year concerning global awareness of dotMobi.

Never pay attention to appraisals by someone who considers all domains in that extension to be junk. The appraisal pre-exists before the domain name is presented.

Agree with FreeFlow, there are many good to great domains dropping now in all extensions. But don't try flipping in this market, that is only for experts. Great time for buy-and-hold, if you are very picky and plan on paying several years of reg fees.

A little OT but since the anti-mobi crowd has shown up here:
Mobi at the moment is even more speculative than domaining overall. The "purpose" of Mobi is the Mobile web, which to all intents does not exist yet - but there is strong reason to believe that in a few years mobile computing will be as common as PC computing. The needs of the two markets are very different, both in content and presentation. A large wave of new websites will certainly emerge to cater to that new market.

The owners of those new websites will have only two real choices for their domain - .Com and .Mobi. Com is the established standard, no doubt many will choose that, no surprise there. Mobi means mobile. No other extension does that now, and won't until ICANN breaks their own rule of "no conflicting TLDs". Never underestimate greed, but another mobile extension is likely quite a long time off. Will many of these new mobile websites choose .Mobi?

I believe .mobi is dead and I dropped all my mobi domains
I would rather register .info than .mobi (it's also a lot cheaper to register)
