Are there free .name domains?

Are there? or where is the cheapest? Do you recommend going there?

1and1.com had free .name for a short time for existing customers but has since gone back up to $5.99. Interface there is slow and clunky.. if you can get past that, they are "ok". They will also pre-verify your credit card with a $5.99 charge (tho this later comes off) before they actually charge it (which can be anywhere from 2 weeks to a month later).

With eNom it is the same as a .com I do not think there will be free .name names? Maybe they will do the same as for .info :D
