I need to get a set of smilies for my website, and im not sure what to use ect... I havent gone and taken them from other forum packages, cause im not sure smilies are opensource... ect... Now, i see the same ones on multiple software packages? How does this work?

i wasnt aware that simles contained any source code so i dont see how they could be open source :p

However if you mean are they royalty free then i would say that for 99% of them the answer is yes.

Depends on the smilies and how the author has released them. :] Can't really be generalized, since it's completely dependant on who's made them. A smiley is an image no less than a logo, size is irrelevent. ;)

Grrrr I need a set of them... anyone know of FREE smilies SETS (i had a set made for me... i cant find them now :'() my set was from like 2 years ago... :-/ *searches more*

copyright applies to graphics, so unless released into the public domain, or the copyright has expired they are under copyright.
