The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
GoDaddyGoDaddy
However, many are already registered.

Find something else.

I tried a few hundred just now, all didn't work.

What would you say about 'G' for Google and 'M' for Microsoft? :hehe:

Since "A" is a word, I think it certainly worth to register domains starting with A. Since X represents unknown, maybe starting with "X" is also good.

i just purchased eGigabytes.com for reg fee. What do you guys think? Seems like a good name for a site selling storage. The "e" seems appropriate in this case.

Well, it's not that great name, and it's not that bad one. So I'd suggest developing it rather than reselling it :imho:

Actually, it could also be used for an online backup company. Those are pretty hot right now.

E symbolzes internet IMO... so if its a forum or a service, its good :)

Your name maybe short lived. According to Moore's law, GB will not last long. Even TeraBytes or PetaBytes may not have much value.

all depends on the name ... does seem to suit .coms and short words though ...

Maybe, maybe not, as Moore's Law seems to be failing, at least in the processor speed market, although storage sizes seem to be still going up happily, for the present time, at least.

The eBay story - Pierre Omidyar, who had created the Auction Web trading website, had formed a web consulting concern called Echo Bay Technology Group. "Echo Bay" didn't refer to the town in Nevada, the nature area close to Lake Mead, or any real place. "It just sounded cool," Omidyar reportedly said. When he tried to register EchoBay.com, though, he found that Echo Bay Mines, a gold mining company, had gotten it first. So, Omidyar registered what (at the time) he thought was the second best name: eBay.com.

Interesting stuff. Although I've never been wild about the ebay name. I think ebid.com, ibid.com, or bid.com would have been the better names for an online auction site.
