Hello!

I saw in the news today that Bitcoin had adopted yet another new NFT minting system called "Atomicals."

The atomicals team is using .xyz

They launched on bitcoin on Sept 17 (2023)

They're free and open source (so no TM)

More info: https://news.bitcoin.com/decoding-atomicals-unpacking-the-newest-addition-to-bitcoins-tech-suite/

They self-state that a nickname for atomicals is atoms.

They also have their own domain service, like eth.. Called Realm Names.

Not sure why no one posted about this or if it's even going to be big... so I didn't get too many names:

Realm/ Domains
Bitcoin Atomical / s
Atomicals Protoco / l
Atomicals. / Co
Atomical /s Nft /s

What u guys think?

What u guys think?

1. It's the crypto world, where short/brandable .io or other established tld names are preferred over lengthier .coms. It makes it harder for domainers. Ordinals .market and ordinal .market were both sold for $10K, ordinalnfts .com for only $1.25K, according to Namebio.

2. Developers inside their own bubbles are incredibly bad at naming things. Just recently it was "runes" (already used by THORChain's native token) and now "atomicals/atoms". The latter term is already used by Cosmos and the former is too close (imho) to "atomic"; there are at least atomic swaps and Atomic Wallet (.io, by the way). Atomswap.net was a scam, so there's one atom-name tarnished for a while.
