Appraisal Vs. Valuation

Can someone please be kind enough to explain the difference between an appraisal and a valuation? Thanks! :red:

basically there is no difference, becide you pay for appraisal, and you dont for valuation

The two terms are still used interchangeably.

It's possible that at some point in time they will acquire the status of universally recognized monikers for different level of services (paid vs unpaid, or manual vs automated) but I don't think we are there yet.

The first thing that needs to happen is for the appraisal/valuation industry to grow up.
