It's not the same scenario. That site promotes Samsung products and qualifies as a 'fan site', hence falls under fair use. While Samsung may not like third parties using their brand name in domains, that doesn't mean the registrant cannot accrue legitimate interests through usage.
But here I think the OP is talking about setting up a coupon/discounts website that would be competing against Groupon (among others), while using a domain that is 'confusingly similar'. That is the problem.
Here is what will likely happen.
The OP ignores the advice and moves on with development plans. Then after a few weeks/months the website starts ranking a little, and a UDRP is filed against him or worse a lawsuit. Anyway, the domain name will be seized and all the traffic will be redirected to the website of the complainant.
End result: all your development efforts wiped out overnight, for nothing but trouble.
