Contemplating. Drop or dump my .fun domains.

If was .fun while it lasted! lol

Namebio doesn't even have .fun as an extension option as a filter! lol

    So no sales at all?

    Anyone sold theirs?

    interestingly.

Radix to make money with their premium .fun (specifically the "naughty" single word ones. You figure it out)

seem to be pointing them all to Fun.com.

You can see their affiliate code in the address bar.

I guess I could renew and copy Radix but I'm not here to be an affiliate. here to sell domains.

    thoughts and opinions welcome.

you see .fun domains listed @ auction on Godaddy and Sedo.

    many pages of .fun domains.

on each site only 1 bid on one .fun on each site.

    the heck??? lol

I think I still have 1. Its a matched pair. You can't have the .party without the .fun. I have both of them for "canna".

Oh wait. I just remembered, I also have emojis. So, I have 2.

    I have horseracing.fun and wager.fun
I think I paid a dollar each for them during a promo.
I'm thinking I will drop them as the renewal is almost here!

At NameCheap were I regged them I think it's $15.06 regularly but it looks to be half priced today, $7.53!

I've been good. Busy with another project.
Yes, I transferred them to NameSilo. Wish they were cheaper. I will keep them for another year, then make a decision. Wish I knew they were going to be on sale. Oh well.
    You doing good?

What do you mean? Did you check at namecheap? I tried to access my account and forgot my password so couldn't check . Is the renewal $14.88? Or $7.53?

    $7.53?????

    When did you see that?
Are you sure that's renewal too? Or just fresh hand reg?

Surprised .fun was ok with that . I bet they don't even know.

    Ehhh could be better.

I advise anyone to do exactly what Radix did and sign up for the Fun.com affiliate program and just point all your .fun to that website.

They seem to point all the .fun they own especially the "naughty" ones to .fun lol

Surprised .fun was ok with that . I bet they don't even know.

Personally, I would keep "perfect matched combinations", such as:

    - Really.fun
    - Its.fun
    - Very.fun
    - Great.fun
    - Having.fun
    - Water.fun
    - Party.fun
    - Have.fun
    - Net.fun
    - Play.fun
    - Go.fun
    - The.fun
    - Love.fun
    - Bike.fun
    - Dance.fun
    - Super.fun
    - Web.fun

And so on... Apart from these kind of names, I would not renew.

    Thanks.

And what's your take on two word .Fun's?

Noticed you only mentioned one word .Fun's .

What if the two word combos in the past sold for big money like say OnlineCasino? Or even CreditCard?

Or how about two Geo's like SouthAmerica?

Also I think the reason we don't see any sales for .fun on GD and sedo is because the domains being offered kind suck.

They all look like just people who missed out on top keywords and just went for random " to hell with it" regs for 99 cents to $1.88.

I bet if fun.fun was put up for auction it would be a different story or if Radix just auctioned their private reserve of good .fun domains then we'd see sales.

I have no idea why they haven't .

What good is owning an extension and charging sometimes $7000 to renew it yearly if no one wants it?

People will see value if there are actual big sales.

.fun is a missed opportunity for Radix.

I guess Radix is happy to just sit and wait for that whale to come and buy their $7,000 .fun domain and also pay the $7,000 matching yearly renewal.

seriously. No sales on namebio? So much so that namebio doesn't even bother listing the extension?

    That's sad.

    #.fun

I can not predict the future, but I don't think these names will sell at the aftermarket. Just a single example: I just saw that Guide.bz is available. Why? There are too many alternatives nowadays.

Sure you can have fun at an online casino or with a credit card, but still I think they do not match that well.

    Lol
I know I know. Like I said. Radix needs to sell at least some of their reserve .fun domains to things going.

    They own fun.fun and s*x.fun x*x.fun.

These have to sell at auction with proper promo. But either they have no faith in their own product or they rather land that whale who will pay $7000 a year for renewals?

Hmmm anyone care to speculate how much Radix' inventory of premium .fun domains would fetch at auction?

I mean just imagine what they reserve for themselves?

    World.fun?
    Girl.fun?
    Fashion.fun?
    Style.fun?

I mean cmon! Auction them bastards already!

Remember that .fun has only been in general availability for 372 days, most of which was building up hand registrations, so not surprising not yet much after market sales.

There are at least two recorded sales (not on Namebio)
    xxoo(.)fun went for $150
    snapchat(.)fun went for $120 both in 2017

I see fun as one of the more useful extensions for domain name phrases. I own
    augment(.)fun
    debut(.)fun
    redefine(.)fun
    rediscover(.)fun
    rewarding(.)fun
    simpli(.)fun
    simpler(.)fun

I have had them for sale, although not tried too hard to sell them, and not received any offers.

Companies think it's non serious extension so no aftermarket sales.

I think the most likely use would be for the entertainment, recreation, etc. and using in a domain phrase as opposed to main website. Of course it has only been in general availability a bit over a year.

    A Google search displays a variety of film, massage, healing, recreation etc. sites, most of them not too major I think. One of the more serious I found in a few minutes searching was this one;

    http://www.bestfamilyvacations.fun/
