Anyone received a refund from GD yet?

It's now two whole days and my domains are still sitting at pending, SURELY by now they should have gotten to them all?

Listen, I'm really sorry to post yet another GD thread but what the hell is going on over there?

Has ANYONE recieve an explanation why the domains are still on pending or a refund yet?

i tried to live reg 2 domais with GD, both were availabkle on GD page but for real were taken; so far i got 1 email that there was a problem regarding one of these domains, they promise a refund for it

All .EU domain registrations are being done as a Land Rush right now. That means each registrar can accept applications for the same domain name, and the registry will grant them on a first come basis. That means that some domain names we will not be able to register for you, as they will already be taken by the time the registry gets your application for it. All of the domains that fail will be refunded to you as soon as the Land Rush is over and we begin proccessing them.

when i applied for mine they were available, but now they are taken

They have made such a mess of the whole thing it is unlikely anybody will be receiving any refunds before the end of next week.

yeah its getting really annoying all my domains say pending, i have emailed them several times asking if they have been successfully registered, but every time i get a standard email telling me how the .eu registration works. all 11 of mine say pending but im quite sure they have gone becuase the whois tells me they have been registered.

Just an update on the refund situation at GD.

I have recieved a full refund for the .eu domains I had pre-registered that got registered else where. However, the still show in my domains list as "pendding".

What an ordeal, I would rather have gotten the domains of course but at least I got a full refund.

There are still other domains listed that are on pendding that actualy still show pending in the whois, not sure what the hold up is but at least I know I'll get a full refund should GD fail to get them as well.

i just got a partial refund from godaddy here what the paypal statement said

* Refund Amount: $44.85 USD

Refund Amount Remaining: $14.95 USD

i don't understand why they left out $14.95, they also still owe me $120, but a least they are starting to refund the money

before i got this refund i was sent a email from support saying that i had to wait for the domain to be active before i could get a refund, but all the domains still say pending.

I made two preorders of about 10 domains and they have now issued two refunds for the seperate orders. No confirmation of approval yet though and additionally they kept an amount similar to like you quote voodooin.

That's good news guys, and the refunds appear to be flowing now. I just spoke with two other domainers that have also received partial refunds from GoDaddy tonight.

Important: Check your PayPal account, because apparently you will not receive any type of email notice telling you about it.

I've just checked and the refund has been completed. The funds, minus the two fees of an unkown reason, have been credited back to my credit card.

Ive recieved a refund 1 out of 3, but it's just because with the domains that are still pending in the registry, there is still a chance in june/july that they will be able to get those names...

I'm not bothetered as long as there is still chance that these companies can still get my names!

I have 2 pre-registrations with Speednames.com that still say queued even though one is actually taken and one is under pending application.

At the moment all I'm worried about is 123-reg.co.uk. Their email support is "THE.WORST" 9/10 times is you email them you wont recieve a reply and their phone support costs 50p ($0.88 cents) a minute!! Not to mention that they are the most unhelpful bunch over the phone too. So I'm quite stuck and out of pocket by £222.00 (about $400.00 US) until they decide that they want to make a move and refund my money...

They only managed to get ONE domain for me, and that was 'barbadosapartments[dot]eu"... it doesn't show as registered with 123-reg, but DONHOST.co.uk? It has my name on it, but it hasnt arrived in my account. Any ideas why this could have happened?

Any domains that have gone from my account, I have refunds for - money in the bank.

The ones that are still under dispute in any way, ie there are applications outstanding, no refund obviously because they are pending.

Just to confirm I have received a refund from GD for all but 2 that are still pending which to be honest I would rather get the names then the refunds :hehe:
