Hey There,

I am looking to do offsite backups of my cpanel hosting sites and I was wondering if anyone had any good solutions for this?

Thanks

Not sure what you want exactly. Just run a backup from cpanel, either home or dir then use "dropBox" to store. It will sync and you can make private and many other things. Its FREE and the best thing out there now. Free storage should work unless you have some very large sites or Databases.

I will look into this. I was hoping to find something that did a daily or weekly one automatically .

How much by size do you need? I think that there are a lot of backup service providers now. They provide backup solutions only and very cheap.

I have now idea. But I suppose that small VPS would work the best for you.

bqbackup.net, despite the very simple website, is quite popular at webhostingtalk.com. Never used them myself though.

Hmm... Intersting one. In any case I think that would be easy to get some of their reviews. At least on the WHT.

I'm not quite sure what you want. I'm also not familiar with any off-site backup services. I do know that some hosts configure cPanel to automatically back up all accounts to a separate directory or hard drive. The backups are easy to restore or transfer to another server. There must be a way to automatically transfer those backups to another FTP server. In fact cPanel has some built in feature for FTP transfer of backups. I think, though, it is up to the host to automate this and you might even have to ask them to set something up to transfer the backups if you can't find an automated solution. Also beware that regular downloads of backups might eat away at your bandwidth limit.
