Anyone Know A Family Tree Script?

I'm looking forward to building a website for my family name. At first I thought
of just building a simple html website and just put in names, dates, and their
respective timelines.

I'm somewhat thinking I oughta get a script that'll allow me to maybe just put
in the name, date, relations, etc. in fields and it'll automatically arrange and
put it in order. Then I can also maybe edit the background or something.

Anyone know a script that does this without that GEDCOM thing? Preferably
free, of course.
