I noticed an increase as well. My guess is people have start developing domains more and this is what they turn into.

does it reflect that more are gamers here rather than article directory owners? gameztown, yeah coming from another game/arcade owner.
this is just an idea, what if we create sort of a webring or a game league site of which its comprise of flash game/arcade game owners. some sort of a traffic swap (not traffic exchange) of some sort?

its not just namepros
its everywhere
usually starts off with a new cheap script being made then a few people buy it and make sites, then go on to sell there site for more than people would think or it makes more than people think it would , then comes everyone trying to do the same

same thing has happened with ppc search engines, proxy sites, directorys, url redirection, free forum hosts, image hosts....etc

Hehe... yes there are many. Even I have 3 (or maybe even 4, not sure) arcades and I have been working on my arcade script that I now use on all of my arcades.

I used to have one on my iplaygames domain then lost interest in maintaining it.

Actually, I'd find it hard for a new startup to do well unless you can be innovative or fill a niche.

I have an arcade site (Invision Board-based) running. I have an advantage being a teenager in a school with students who enjoy playing games and spend a lot of time on the site.

Its high on profitability scale either. Try grabbing good flash games and you would see guys pouring in. A few sites I know and played are highly addictive.
