Heres the story, I shoot with a 8mp camera and get a .avi raw file which looks crystal clear on my computer. As soon as I edit it and resave it with nero or windows movie maker both in high quality, then upload to youtube, they loose all of their quality.

Anyone have any tips?

Thanks!

Youtube videos in general are low quality. When you upload your video, and they translate it into flash format, youtube is downsampling your file so that it won't take up so much bandwidth. There's not a whole lot you can do about it, at least on youtube.

If you are shooting in HD format, take a look at vimeo.com. They allow you to upload in that format, and so the quality is better.

turn it into 3gp first then back to .avi
also the choice of video compression has a lot to do with it as well.
