Any Gimp users in here?

I have used Gimp's script-fus to make some logos for my arcade site, but I would like to know if you have any design tricks or tips to make a nice logo for my arcade site.

There are literally thousands of tutorials for any decent media editor ever created. Google for some tutorials for whatever you want.

There are even some on gimp.org!

I would think GIMP for the most part has similar functions to Photoshop, so tutorials made for the adobe product would be of use.

i cant use GIMP, it hasnt got the same feel as photoshop, i tryed it, just dosnt feel right to me.

I actually started using GIMP yesterday and I've been having some fun making signatures with game renders :P It really is neat. Not Photoshop, but it's free. http://gimptalk.com has a ton of tutorials too.

the Gimp is good enough for those of us who just want to play around with sigs and renders, but I don't recommend it for heavy commercial or professional use. The gradients are unreliable and usually render bad, and the text has crappy anti-aliasing IMHO.
