Any bulk tools to check live and dead sites?

Does anyone know of any bulk tools that will let you check whether a site is live or dead?

I am looking for a software that will do it, if you know about any.

What do you mean by live or dead? Available or unavailable for registration? or whether registered sites have a working html page or not?

Domain Name Analyzer Pro returns a sites IP address during a scan, if there is no IP it returns Error which means there is no page up.

It won't distinguish between a developed site and a parking page, however. I'm not aware of any software that does, but it can done with some php programming.
