Hello,

I found a few domains i want, But how can i see how much there worth before buying them, Also what comes after .com in order of value is it .net then .org .info .biz...... Is it best to register the same name with the next best country code if it sounds promising.

Would really appreciate the help.

Thanks.

Hallo Chris!

But how can i see how much there worth before buying them?
Well, actually it's very hard to say what a domain name is really worth.
But there are some clues to look for when trying to estimate a domain
name's value. First of all you can do a search on Google to see if the
term is a popular one. If there are x,xxx, xxx the domain might be worth
to be registered. If Google finds even xx,xxx, xxx+ websites then that
might be quite a good keyword! In addition you should perform a search
on Overture's keyword suggestion tool. You find it here:
http://inventory.overture.com/d/searchinventory/suggestion/
This tool will tell you how many searches are done for a specific keyword
per month. The more the better, of course. But over all you should only
register domains which are likely to have some commercial value (why
spend money for a name which won't earn money for you?). That's
only a very vague introduction into the evaluation of domain names, but
if I would give you all the hints I'd give you my domain appraisal system :hehe:
Ah... this one is important, too: generic domains are worth more than
domains which include fantasy names (i.e. women.com is better than
chicks.com... bad example, I know :guilty: )

Also what comes after .com in order of value is it .net then .org .info .biz......
That's hard to say. I think it depends on the domain's keyword, because
not every TLD fits to every term. Those are generic TLDs, so it's obvious
what terms they're good for: .net Online Services, .org Organizations,
.info Information Sites, .biz Businesses, .com Everything :) Try to get the
.com version. If it's already registered choose the one which fits best to
your domain's keyword! (It's always a plus to have the right ccTLD, if possible.)

I wish you good luck with your future domain registrations and sales!
