I am not sure, if you put up the files I could have a better look, or at least post the code :D

I guess you knwo it is part of a bigger thing:

<div id="wrapper4">

	<div id="d_left">

	</div><!-- End d_left -->

	<div id="d_mid">

	</div><!-- End d_mid -->

	<div id="d_right">

	</div><!-- End d_right -->

</div><!-- End wrapper 4 -->

<div id="bottom">

</div><!-- End bottom -->

HTML:
#wrapper4
{
	width:800px;
	height:27px;
}

#d_left
{
	width:44px;
	height:27px;
	float:left;
	background:url(images/img_16.png) no-repeat;
}

#d_mid
{
	width:714px;
	height:27px;
	float:left;
	background:#FFFFFF;
}

#d_right
{
	width:42px;
	height:27px;
	float:right;
	background:url(images/img_18.png) no-repeat;

Here is the problem. IE shows spacing differently so when you try and put images next to each other they are off by a px or two in ie and it screws the site royally. I might be able to fix it. PM me if you are interested.
