Annoying bg?

Would you guys find it annoying if the background of a website looked like a sheet of lined notebook paper? The reason I ask is because I'm working on a site with a "handmade" theme and the design idea came to me to make the whole site look handmade. Any thoughts? Also, anyone have any useful links to similar sites? Thanks!
