Google plans to have Chrome stop showing ads (including theirs) on sites which don't comply with Better Ads Standards as of 2018.
Will this be applied to search? I think probably so ...there are already algos in place which punish overly aggressive advertising.
One interesting thing is a new google beta product called Funding Choices, which will support advertisers requesting a fee from visitors who won't whitelist their site in their ad blocker. Not sure if or how this will tie into their entire advertising ecosystem, but interesting.
