Annoying ads

if you serve annoying, intrusive ads on your site, heads up...

Google plans to have Chrome stop showing ads (including theirs) on sites which don't comply with Better Ads Standards as of 2018.

Will this be applied to search? I think probably so ...there are already algos in place which punish overly aggressive advertising.

One interesting thing is a new google beta product called Funding Choices, which will support advertisers requesting a fee from visitors who won't whitelist their site in their ad blocker. Not sure if or how this will tie into their entire advertising ecosystem, but interesting.
