.tv An "issue" with a video on my me.tv site

Just got email of someone having an "issue" with a video. I took it down but--shouldn't they are an issue with YouTube where the video was taken?
What are you guys' opinion on this, if someone has an issue with a video you took off a video sharing site that has agreements with me.tv?

The fact that the video was initially released by someone via YouTube (read their terms and conditions) and the fact that Me.tv (see their terms and conditions) may have an agreement with YouTubedo do not cover your ass/own responsability regarding copyright issues and possible enforcement. You are responsible for the materials, audio and image, you are running on your site. My opinion is that you did well in deleting the concerned video.

I thought there was no problem to publish embedded Youtube videos on another website (own website)...

Didnt find out reason--just deleted it.

My typical response to things like this is:
"Unless it is a clear trademark violation or copyright infringement, I do not censor or delete videos from my site. I appreciate your contacting me about this, but I do not at the present time feel a need to remove the material."

Sometimes I shorten it to:
"Get Bent"

If someone has an issue with a video that is being supplied by youtube, veoh or any other site for that matter they should take it up with them! My opinion is if you don't like it, don't have to watch it!

Wait did they have issue because it was their intellectual property? If so they can tell you to take it down and You Tube. But because it was on You Tube does not mean a site owner can publish copyrighted material.
