Been watching this name for some time...thought the previous owner would renew so I neglected to check it for the past few months, even cancelled my back-order back in June. It was held for 16 years. To my utter shock it was not in the zone file and showed as available, so I tried to reg it and was successful. Deleted in June 2016, previously held probably before 2000 but the earliest record I can get is from 2000. Its had some interesting dns history. It started with being hosted by DIGEX one of the first internet hosters ever, who was bought by WorldCom. No one probably remembers them but they are now under the Verizon brand. After being hosted by DIGEX they domain was hosted by ALGX.NET, which is XO communications then back and forth between sprint and maritz.com. Maritz is a mid cap business solutions enterprise. Overall I'm quite pleased with the result, its an appealing name for a relatively "boring" niche. Sedo dates its year of registration to ------>1998.

Recently started looking back at my "wishlist" which is on excel. I'm a dreamer so I even went and checked the hosterstats of every name on my wishlist, names like supercash.com and masterstroke.com....basically names that are very unlikely to be available but...I just felt like checking on them. Also checked the whois to see if any had been renewed. Ameripoll was one of the first on my list so I grabbed it.
