Maybe a little late in the game, but I was running the names of the 24 finalists through whois to see if any were available. I'm finding that a majority were registered on Nov 18, 2006 at GoDaddy... They're using whois privacy, so it's either AI or someone with some inside info :) If the latter is the case, it just goes to show that it's who you know and what you hear that can get you good domains :)

I think Fox picked them up? I had checked back when the show first started. The domains that I checked all went to the Fox site, but for some reason now, they go to a godaddy park page.

I doubt any of them are held by FOX. I know some of them are being held by a member we're all familiar with here at NamePros. I won't name names though. Spoilers for American Idol and who made it to Hollywood started being posted on the Internet in Mid November, as those segments were taped months before the show is aired.

When I checked availability of a few, I saw they were all grabbed already.

A lot of big companies use GoDaddy now. It used to always be NetSol and Register.com that got the big corporate clients.

I tried to register a bunch of people that I thoughtwere good the second there name appeared on the screen and most .coms weretaken already so something is going on. I did snag Brandonrogers.info. If he wins, what can I sell my .info for do you think?
