I am looking at setting up an Amazon affiliate store on a nice Xbox 360 game domain I own.

Just a couple of questions for those of you in the know about this sort of thing:

1. Would it be worth it in the first place (I can direct maybe a couple of hundred targetted visitors per day).

2. I dont code, but have seen Associate-o-Matic, which looks pretty good. Can anyone recommend other simple, but good, scripts I might want to check out?

Cheers, Matt.

It does.

And you might check out www.codes.cc and follow the link at the bottom of the page (Not affiliate) to the most recent variation fo the store.

Works for .co.uk , .ca , .de , and .jp

Thanks Allan and Intense, and BLazeD for bringing this up, I was actually looking at Amazon.ca this morning because I am going to try it out for Scrapbooker.ca, these links will make it much easier...

the cookie cutter amazon store look has sort-of become passe... if a storefront is what people like looking at they have it on the amazon.com site itself... what does work well in an affiliate model is if you integrate popular product displays with the rest of the content on your site ... rather than have a separate area for it...... also embed affiliate links in the articles itself ... say you're making some suggestions etc somewhere in an article ... then and there itself embed an affiliate text link... people like clicking on text links ...... it works better than having an affiliate store if you blend product suggestion links well with article content.

With the amazon affiliate program you can use their images I believe, which is a bonus.

You can take a look at my affiliate store. http://www.stormlabs.com/ It is targetted to electronics only, we have about 120k items and i think we do ok in terms of revenue. I am not sure what other affiliate sites are making from their setup so don't know if ours is a better model.

Hey there,
Is that a custom script or is it a common one rebadged?
I do like the layout,

Another script I would highly recommend is the one at:

http://www.freekrai.net/affiliate-software/asm2/

It is free, and highly customizeable. I have a couple of sites I plan on implementing it on, but just haven't had the time yet.
