Does not have whole sale value. But have found that medical related terms like weight loss, hair loss are highly searched for and domains relating to them gets more weightage in search engines (mainly google). Developing a little bit gets atleast 300$ from an end user.
I would suggest registering:
finpecia.net
and sell as a package. Just 4$ at domainsarefree.com.

Thanks for the feedback, Crissy. You're right - it is an uncommon term, and probably known only to those afflicted by hair loss. I know I didn't know the word until I started being concerned. :p

Anyway, the 800+ searches per day are probably from people looking for a solution to their problem, and that's what counts, IMO.

never heard of it before either, but I typed "hair loss" into google and alopecia is mentioned on several of the results - also gets 14692 on overture for alopecia so people are definately searching for it.

The .net is developed as well and hair loss is definately a big industry, so I'd say its a good 'un.

Wholesale, .us doesn't seem to be selling for very much at the moment. I'd say do a little development on it, add some affiliate links to pay reg fees, and wait for an end user.

Even with the .us ending, this word is being advertised more and more on hair loss product commercials, so it should receive more attention in the future.

not well known outside the circle of baldies. could be great for a niche market promoting hair care, restoration, implants etc....developed , i would give a high $xxx.

just look at the google ads here on this page that are attracted by alopecia!!
