I am not aware of any use of ALL PROTECT in the area of online security.
I have always checked the trademark list when registering
a name and I don't believe there were any "live" trademarks on this name at the
date of my registration of the domain. While I don't think that use of a name violates a trademark if
the use is different enough so as not to be confusing to a potential customer, I have
no idea what happens when a domain is registered and someone else applies at a later date for a trademark on the same name. DO you (or anyone reading) have any thoughts on this? Is there an area on this site where such a question might be posed? Kind thanks!

I'm not saying that your domain infringes on any similar company but just to make sure before development and certainly before parking.

It's a nice domain and very brandable.

:]

If someone applies for a TM in your area after you have regged this domain, you're probably okay, but it depends on how deep their pockets are. You'd be in a better position if you applied for your own TM, especially if you plan to create a company--that way, you're covered, at least in your area.

I see what you mean...Do you think in terms of reselling a domain like this that
an investment in a trademark is advisable? An expensive proposition...Do you think
I ought to run this past a lawyer before proceeding? I think it is a good name, but I
don't really know what it might be worth to an end user-any thoughts on that? If you owned the name, how would you proceed to
develop for resale? Kind thanks for your thoughts-much appreciated!!!

For resale, I wouldn't bother getting a TM for it, especially if you plan to do a fast flip.

If you plan to develop, then yes.

Others may have a different take on this, though.

Before selling, you might want to look over that TM list carefully to make sure that you don't offer the domain to an actual TM holder; that could get you into legal trouble.

Barring any legal difficulties, this is a pretty good domain, 101,000 Google (with quotes), 34,000,000 without.

Very brandable and catchy. An end user might go low xxxx, a reseller low xxx.

But I have seen lesser domains go for more.

Good luck with it!
