Allow users to add markers to Google maps

Hi, I'm using Joomla 1.5
I already have the map online.
I want a simple feature to let users add a marker on the map with an attached note.

any idea how to do this easily?

I don't know what the exact solution is, but I found this:

I think you need to use the Google API to make it possible.

you can use Google API / Google Maps Group for allowing users to add markers.
