We’re defining “emoji” very loosely here… it’s more interesting to see the wider array of weird characters in dotcom domains than to get too hung up on the argument as to what’s a pictograph and what’s an emoji.

Just a reminder: you cannot currently register new Emoji Domains in dotcom [anymore]… but you can register new Emoji Domains in the .ws TLD at i.ws.

I think Jon Roig did a valuable service here because it highlights just how rare these things are. Despite the landrush that had been open for years until it was banned by ICANN, there are only but 33 single emoji dot coms left. The rest are a mixed bag, with a lot of them with registered symbols of large corporations.
