The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
I was wondering about that in regard to selling on 4.cn. Do the buyers understand they have to open an account on Godaddy and push the domain?
Dont really know about the trading on 4.cn, the buyer i sold too agreed to open an account on Godaddy and push the domain himself

Has anyone compiled statistics on the best and worst Chinese premium letters? What order do you put them in, best to worst?

Has anyone compiled statistics on the best and worst Chinese premium letters? What order do you put them in, best to worst?
I dont have stats, but i think a good thing to do now is register 2L City/province + 2L Chinese names, as some names has vowels so you might find some available, for example, lnhu - ln as Liaoning and hu is a Chinese 2 letter name

Has anyone compiled statistics on the best and worst Chinese premium letters? What order do you put them in, best to worst?
I think the best are J, X, Z and maybe Q. (not in order of relevance).
Like others said, those letters are consonant with pronunciation so they should be the best.
I also like to do another test, I look for a name in the relative Chinese TLD, if it is registered and developed it is sure that those letters have at least 1 meaning that make sense for Chinese.
However this do not mean that if a certain dot cc is developed also the same net will sell.

According to my research on Chinese end users' LLLL.cn/com/net domain names, here is the result:

the Chinese premium letters are: s c y h z j a d t x
average letters are: l m g b e f w n i p
bad letters are: k q o r u v

But not all the Chinese domainers think so :)

So, 'A' can be considered as chinese premium letter?

Yes, I DO think so, and many Chinese domainers think so, but not ALL of them.

Thank you for your research. That explains why I received an offer for J S Y T .net on 4.cn, just a few days after listing it. Maybe the next offer I will receive will be for J Z Z S .net.

So my K N A H .com is semi-good? (Bad Letter / Avg Letter / Premium / Premium), also AH is Anhui Province if not mistaken?

Once I wanted to do this research, but I thought to research what domain names Chinese are using might be better. So I give this research up, and did my research on the Chinese end user's domain names.

Chinese words have not only one word, I don't know if I could explain it right.
There might many many word start from J, BeiJing, ShangHai, SZ and GZ are not start from "J", while BJ, SH, SZ and GZ are most popular on domain names since they are big cities in China.

That's why your result is different from mine, I think.

But, your research is really great :)

Must have been a record day yesterday, with 35 sales showing up at NameBio and of course these don't include the Chinese sites doing huge volume (sometimes 500 per day) up around $175 or so.

i think this research is great because more dictionary words potentially means more opportunity to find a meaning but as chinese read those letters in couple the DotCn classification should be more close to the endusers. Like for English acronyms more dictionary words do not mean more letter value.

I want to point again that my comment only want to point how to better use these stats because they are great both :)
