The $9 registration fee for premium LLLL.net is just like a dream now imo. Probably $69 backorder fee is more of a reality.

That's a valid point but it seems most cannot compete with the Chinese drop catchers so sometimes it is better to pay the $16 or $17.

I was there right at 7:00 pm when it was going from $37.99 to $18.99 I was not going to wait another 24 hours for $13.99 figured someone would buy it.

Day by day number of chinese premium are decreasing.I used to get 3-4 domains per day on backorder but now hardly I get 1 and now most of the backorders are going in the auctions.

Here is the analysis of llll .net chinese premium
In total there are 160k chinese premium domains i.e wihtout a e i o u v
out of 160k- 80k are developed site
so we are left with 80k and as per my sources
out of 80k around 55k has been bought up by chinese guy
so we are now left with 25k which will soon vanish.

I was doing some analysis lately on LLLL.com. About 59 000 domains or 36.8% are kept at Chinese registrars. This leaves just 101 000 domain to play with, because I don't think that Chinese will sell their precious CHIPS back to you Out of this 101K that are kept at registrars around the world: USA, Europe, Australia, etc. some are developed and some may belong to Chinese as well, I just didn't have the time and tools to look that up, but I know a lot of Chinese have accounts at GoDaddy as well.
