My beloved, red HoT Red Sox begin the best-of-seven "American League Championship Series" against the dreaded Yanks beginning Tuesday, 10/12! :tu:

Remember that these EXACT same two teams went to an epic Game #7 last year at this very time. :'(

WoooHooo.
-Jeff B-)

PS. That manager from Minnesota (who just lost it all to the Yanks in the "ALDS") would have been fired on the spot had he been in Boston - awful pitching management in this game, where they had been ahead 5 - 1, and ended up losing 6 - 5. :o

HA! ARod tried to cheat...the Skankees already know they are not going to win or goto the world series....the curse has been reversed...woohoooo :kickass:

for the curse to be reversed fully, it would have to be both beat yankees in alcs (which i still hold true that they WON'T do that this year) and win in the world series.

Shilling pitched a great game, surprised me a bit, but a good outing for him. Again, the bats werent workin for the Yanks tonight, hopefully there will be a turn around tomorrow night.

Go Go Yankees,

(ps, who exactly is left for the sox to start tomorrow? only person i could think of is wakefield)

It will be Wakefield.....trust me the curse is reversed the yankees don't have a chance....shutout of the Angels and a history making comeback by the sox to force game 7....it's fate..we are here to take the power back

Lowe on two days rest? could be a mixture for disaster, as on full rest he sometimes is iffy, on short he is a little worse, on shorter than short? its all up in the air.

my bet is on Wakefield as well, knuckle ball pitchers can pitch often and long often. Even if the redsox do make it the WS (which i still don't think they will), the curse still wouldnt be lifted until the WIN the world series, which both St. Louis and the Astros ( Go go Stros!) are very strong teams and both very hot, so would prove to be an interesting world series.

Go go Yankees And Kevin Brown

**History Made**

Alex Rodriguez swings and knocks the ball out of Bronson's glove and knocked his glove completely off his hand and then argues with the umpires when they reversed the call. They have to bring police officers out and line the left and right sides in riot gear and protection. Wow for the team with the highest payroll in all of baseball and a team full of boughten players they are sure professional trying to cheat their way to a victory. ;)

They were only the 3rd team in history to force a game 6 after being down 3-0 in a best of 7 series. They were the 1st in baseball history to win 3 straight and force a game 7. They will be the first after tonight to comeback after being down 3-0 and win the series. The Yankees are clearly out of their game, they are frustrated, and quite honestly I think they are nervous after witnessing 3 straight wins against them to tie up the series and watching the best closer they've got blow consecutive saves.

Should be another great game once again tonight and hopefully it's the Sox on top in another thriller win. :kickass:

A very good series, and the RedSox come out on top. The Yankees bats died off in the later games, and RedSox' came on.

Jeff will send over your 2500 NP right here in a moment.

Now we will wait and see who else will be in the world series, St Louis, or Houston. The Astros have Clemens up in game 7, a pitcher who lives for big games, so i predect Clemens and the Stros win game 7. (as well Clemens just happens to be my favorite player :))

Now the coutdown to the World Series starts. Then, getting prepared for next season.

Regards
Brian

Woop!

NP$'s received, thank you Brian! :tu:

Clemens, of course, is an old friend ... as is Bagwell, Suppan, and no doubt some others (I only ever begin to follow the National League around this time of year). :guilty:

INCREDIBLE story here in New England ... and we'll be glad to take on whomever, wherever, whenever - though I know the first game is scheduled for this Saturday back here at Fenway Park! :music:

I'm pumped, and I'm looking for tickets! :yell:
Keep the faith!!!

Well I'm glad we're getting some good postseason baseball this year.
Boston win yestereda and now the Yanks are the ones crying for their daddy's .

Either way each team left has a great story to be told.

Boston - Yes it's amazing they came back to beat those darn Yanks, but this is far from over. Will the curse creep back up? This story is already amazing coming back from a 3-0 deficit.

St. Louis - Hottest hitting team in the regular season with an untouchable regular season record. This would definately be a good series to watch the Boston pitching up againts the swinging bats of the Cardinals.

Houston - And finally we have the blazing red hot Astros. Everyone counted them out half way thru the season. Well not any more, Beltron is just silly on fire. The whole team is on fire another great story waiting to happen for this team.

Best of luck to all three teams.
Today should determine who moves on to face the Red Soxs in the World Series.

I agree that the Astros are hot right now, but the Red Sox are even HOTTER with being down 0-3 in the series and coming back in demanding fashion after the 19-8 loss to win the next 4 straight and make baseball history.

They beat one of the best teams, if not the best in baseball history four straight and the final 2 in their own stadium. They shutdown the hype of Rivera and outpowered the Yanks and played their hearts out to bring the series to a tie and then Johnny Damon kicked in last night to clinch the series.

The momentum is with the Sox and should continue to stay with them during this World Series. The Astros weren't facing elimination in every game they played like the Red Sox were and didn't have to fight back and win 4 straight just to move onto the World Series. That ranks second compared to the run and momentum that Boston is currently on.

You mentioned the swinging bats of the Cardinals, of course they've got some power. But you failed to mention that they would be matched with that power and swinging of the bats by the Red Sox. They are just as good, if not better than the Cardinals.

Should be a great World Series whether it's the Astros or Cardinals, however, it doesn't matter to the Red Sox as they'll finish off whoever they play. B-)
