I have a few Alabama geo name with a matching .cctld, .al.
.al is for Albania but as of May 2013 it can be owned by anybody. At worst you have can have a proxy manage them for you, thousands of names are owned this way and many have already been sold.
Value: Obviously no where near the .com but anyone living in Alabama or interested in a certain city sees the .al as natural, no one sees this as a hack on Albania's cctld. City, State ext is normal in US and is used ad nauseam, day after day.
So, how much would they have as a package or individually? With the intro of .nyc, .la ext people will be more open to such names.
Birmingham.al
