.al is for Albania; renewals are less than $18 a year (13 euro) and anyone can own .al names. All the renewal payments, change of server and ownership is now done online via Host.al. As a bonus, .al also matches Alabama's state extensions, it can't hurt. People use AL for Alabama quite a lot.
