Buyer has up to 10 days to confirm Step 7 (confirm they have control of domain, funds cleared) before it is considered "inactive"...ie. seller has to wait 10 days if buyer is playing silly buggers.
Compare to escrow, com where other party has 48 hrs before it is considered accepted

So long Afternic are holding the funds and earning interest, no worries...

AVOID Afternic for escrow where possible

Ever happen to anyone else?

I've had similar problem with Moniker. Moniker claims that the escrow transaction is complete while the money is still with them (in my Moniker account).

I had set my payment details correctly and it was showing on Moniker account as :"Account Balance: $0.00". So, I thought that the money would've been wired already. Three days later I sent them a mail asking whether it has been wired. I got no reply.

Five days later, I called up Moniker and they said I have to request withdrawal of funds. There was this text "0 Withdraw requests" in bottom corner. Note here, the text "Withdraw request" is not a link. The "0" alone is a link here, but it just appears like normal text. Finally I submitted request withdrawal.

The buyer has started using the domain as it has been transferred to him.But it still shows in my account as "Domain Status: In Escrow". In my payment detail settings I could never enter the name of state. Whatever I enter, it resets to "-1". :o Too buggy!

Moniker infact has a good escrow system. Good customer support on Phone. Agreed. But escrow service is far from being professional. JMO.

10 days is not too bad. Considering the potential differences in time zones, 48 hours may not be enough especially when there is a long weekend or something of the sort.
