I am posting Afternic sales from Aug/11 to Aug/18. Since Afternic doesn't publish their sales data, how I got these is a secret so please don't ask me. I just learnt about this from my own sale of BeautyTreatments.com there.

All these sales are verified, you can check the WHOIS. For some you will find [email protected] and for some you will see the updated date.

All these sales can also be searched on GoWebnames.com, almost all historical sales you will find there, even many of those that are not reported elsewhere.

I have actually done a sort on the price since that seems to be more important to me.
You can just copy paste to your excel sheet and do a Text to Columns splitting data at the comma.
This is just raw data.

It's great data, but "I got it from a secret place" sounds a bit 007/Snowdenesque. I don't mean to rain on the parade. Im sure it was all obtained through legitimate personal connections, and is on the up-and-up. - Just asking the burning questions :)

Folks, I had rather prefer it be kept a secret to the NamePros forum. But seems like Raymond @equity78 spilt the beans already. This was shared solely for the benefit of domaining community here. And I am not in breach of anyone's trust at Afternic.

Don't doubt the data, I dare Afternic to deny it. The data is absolutely verified, one can call around and verify. Some sellers of these names, who maybe members here as well, may like to verify, they are under no obligation to keep their Afternic sales secret.

Though I can't guarantee the availability if Afternic works to curtail my source.

Also, I would like to request @Afternic / @GoDaddy to discontinue the practice of hiding domain sales data. Perhaps they may be ashamed of charging a 20% commission while the industry leader Sedo charges 10% and may be wanting to hide from public how much extra unethical money they make off domain investors (2x the industry leader) doing absolutely nothing except providing a normal sales platform.

So, if @Afternic can fall back to the 10% for normal and 15% for special network sales, it had be still alright and you wouldn't need to hide your domain sales data. Greed is one of top factors that sink a company very fast.

For now, you can enjoy the fruits of my labor. I have also decided to publish it daily now, given the circumstances.

I'm not defending Afternic's practice of not publishing the sales, but I understand why they don't do it anymore. I believe a good reason behind them not doing so, especially the ones that came via their network/ sales pages is to prevent "certain" domain companies from bombarding the buyers with domains to buy... It happened in the past, and it reflects poorly on Afternic... you know, almost like dealing with Afternic makes you a target for spam.

The b*tches suspended my @Afternic account at last, without sending any email or stated reason for suspension. So much for the "customer care" or user rights / contract. This is the reality of these murky money sucking pests.

True. Yet I wonder if more reasons than 1 are overlapping. When the quiet period ends, will data re-emerge? We'll see. But in the mean time, applying pressure is one way to encourage Afternic / GoDaddy to resume sharing data later on.

You see what these big companies do, they write EVERYTHING & ANYTHING in the contract to cover their asses. Back here in India, the biggest real estate company DLF, used to similarly write contracts for housing which greatly favored it. Someone put it in the courts and they fined it INR 600 Crores ($100 Million USD) for unfair business practices. So someone's got to do this to domaining companies at some point of time in the US as well, the customers are heavily disadvantaged in their dealings with them.

This all looks bullshit to me, whatever it is supposed to mean: "....you agree not to save, download, cut and paste, sell, license, rent, lease, modify, distribute, copy, reproduce, transmit, publicly display, publicly perform, publish, adapt, edit...."

The broad trend is, of course, for corporations to write TOS that limit consumers' ability to share data while simultaneously granting the corporation inordinate privileges to invade privacy and sell consumer data.

The "quite period" has already passed- it ended in May 2015.

I do have good reason to believe that it is regarding the spam from domainers and domain companies. There are some things I noted in this regard.

Afternic has some really good brokers... you would never know it was them behind those big deals... but yeah-they do work really hard at it. Now, when sales were published, the details of the buyer could be accessed via whois, and then he/she has to deal with all the spam, and Afternic's hard work goes down the tubes. The buyer's dealings/interaction with the platform is no longer viewed as professional.

While I would like to see the sales, I can say that it is their right not to disclose it, and sellers do agree not to contact the buyer... so that applies to everyone else, including domainers/ and those companies who have bombarded clients from the Afternic platform in the past.

Just my opnion of course.
