Does afternic brokers have a response time to contact the lead after the lead has filled in the price request form? or is it as and when they have time then they'll contact the lead ?

From my experience brokers at Afternic (owned by GoDaddy) usually respond within 24–72 hours but it can sometimes take longer depending on lead volume and broker availability.

As per my latest interaction with them they are working on making the process more efficient to decrease the timeframe

They have a prioritization system based on how likely they believe the lead is to purchase the domain.

So once the lead have filled in the price request form how long does it take to show up on the sellers account as a lead?

That part is automated and quick.

The broker relaying your messages to the lead is manual and based on lead prioritization.

Hi!
Great question. Leads from the Request Price lander generally receive a first email around 15 minutes after their inquiry. The first follow-up is made via call, or email, depending on the lead quality, which is calculated based on a host of interest signals. Our average first call time is within 12 hours, across a global team.

If you have specific questions about a lead, please feel free to DM us!

Response time is too slow

Potential buyers may change their minds and lose interest

The best approach is to use your own sales page

even if you host you can't always respond right away. A lot of people are talking to ai and then looking up names, if they don't know price and can't take a buy action, ai will give them other ideas.

Best solution is use use a bin lander. If Afternic wants to make themselves and everyone a lot more money, make bin landers mandatory, it will also stop the bots and the people that would never pay more than a few dollars for a domain. Even for names you fear putting a bin because the market is changing, you can put a high enough bin and a make offer.

Make all landers BIN, you will stop seeing worthless leads on your afternic page. I also think platforms promoting afternic will publish names with bins as part of search results more often.
