I registered AfghanistanWithdrawal.com a few days ago. It's long, and people probably can't spell afghanistan or withdrawal. But in the few days since I registered it, news stories related to possible withdrawal from afghanistan have been increasing dramatically, including an article published yesterday in the washington post titled "Time to Get Out of Afghanistan".

I don't think we'll withdraw soon, but it is inevitable that it will happen eventually, and I expect that it will receive increased attention over the next couple months / years.

First, is the domain worth anything?


I'm not going to park it if it gets much traffic because that doesn't seem right. I would ideally either sell it to someone who wants to use it to host actual information, or develop it myself to collect news stories and give a place for discussion related to the possibility/advisability of withdrawal.

TroopWithdrawal.org
TroopWithdrawal.net
and
WithdrawTheTroops.com

but I don't feel the same about these because they are more generic, and because 'withdrawthetroops' is not the same as the other two in that it states a specific position.



anyways this is an appraisals forum so are any of these worth anything?

well for the reseller market its not worth reg fee but there are some ex military maybe , some kind of army organization, citizens origination who might pay some bucks to you , thats a slight chance other than that its worth big old $0.00

yeah I don't think I really have a reseller mindset yet. mostly i was thinking a citizen organization would be most likely to want it - i don't really know what resellers want.

but the topic is interesting to me and i'm mostly a web developer so i think that if i develop it it could probably get some traffic, if the topic becomes more popular like i think it will

IMO, there is not enough market saturation for these types of domains to create much of a value/demand. Some avail..., SendTheTroopsHome com , MideastWithdrawal com , NotOurFight etc....

It's probably too subjective and depends too much on the details of any given domain, but what sort of numbers do people look for on google monthly search volume in order for a domain to be worthwhile?

Generally speaking if the domain is of commercial interest, the higher the search volume = more potential endusers = greater likelihood of EU sale = expeditious reseller flip.

These domains are all horrible. You should grace delete and get your money back from "The Man". No need to give more money to "The Man". IMO.

Disclaimer: Please keep in mind that this is a FREE appraisal. This is a guess at quick flip resale value not an unrealistic end-user price.
